I think i burnt my butt?????

You heard me right...you did!!! Tuesday night at work... I sat down on what i though was a chair with a little water on it... My butt got wet. Not until a little while later I felt a little irritation. Then driving home it(my butt) started to burn just a little. Hmmm. I thought i was chafing... so i put on some good ole reliable gold bond powder. Usually that does the job...but it didn't work. Then I took a bath... and went to bed. But wait there's more I got up this morning and it was all blistered... then it scabbed over... and now it's tender and quite red. So I think i burnt my butt... some type of chemical or something... oh what exciting days i have....

Happy Birthday Dad!
So tonight we celebrated Greg's Dad's 71st Birthday. It was the usual dinner of spare ribs and sauerkraut with all of the fixins. Just the family for dinner and then more came over for cake,

Laura's parents and sis and hubby and aunt and uncle. Luckily Greg's mom got a large cake for 13 people and not to mention ice cream and coffee. Hey they can open up a dessert shop after that. HAHA. But we just sat around and shot the breeze waiting for our carboload to digest but it was a lot of fun.
We did discover that Greg's Dad is a man of many faces:
When receiving gifts

When being decorated

Before blowing out candles

And after

Well that's all for now Happy Birthday dad hope you enjoyed it.

Can you say MULLET? (fish?)

NOT THAT KIND.... I'm talking about this! You Know the bad hair do from the 80's....

You are are probably asking yourself why I'm bringing this up? Well, at work today we had a wedding ( or should I say a weddin') tonight of some reaaallll southern folks. The eighties called and said they wanted their hair back. Wow... They was having a real goood time, drink of choice...beer of course. They were hootin' and a hollering.. and I have never heard so many people say ya'll...and fixin' in one night. But I really can't complain because even though they were a little rough around the edges, they very very very nice and polite. Yes ma'am they were. Sometimes the uppity ones lack in the manners department...often. It just struck me as kinda funny!

On another note: The count down to graduation continues...

48 days till the big day woohoo!!!!

Hey everybody.... speaking of Sponge Bob Square Pants.....

Reports about a study that found microwave ovens can be used to sterilize kitchen sponges sent people hurrying to test the idea this week — with sometimes disastrous results. A team at the University of Florida found that two minutes in the microwave at full power could kill a range of bacteria, viruses and parasites on kitchen sponges. They described how they soaked the sponges in wastewater and then zapped them. But several experimenters evidently left out the crucial step of wetting the sponge. There are reports out there stating that it aroused so many that there were quite a few sponges/scrubbers being stuffed the microwaves, many caught fire, smoked up the houses, ruined microwaves, and pissed off people.....hahaha i wonder what else catches on fire in a microwave. My only comment it DUH!!!!

Important news:

All in a weekend off from work...

All play and no work makes Laura a happy girl....woohoo!!! So this is what its like to be off on the weekends? I think it's pretty nice, many of you folks (you M.F.ers) that is monday through friday workers take for grant it, that you don't work most weekends. Well i do work them most of the time, it comes with being a Chef.

So I know what your saying is what did i do with this time???? Well my sister Sarah and her hubby Laszlo came up for the weekend. We had lots of fun, ate beer can chicken, and talked about fiber too!!! Well we always talk about farting or pooping for some reason....fun was had by all...

Speaking of pooping i spent all day in a class to renew my managers food safety certification.... I know you say what does that have to do with pooing? Everything!
Did you know that 76 million people people a day have been given a foodborn illness daily. A food born illness is a diease carried or transmitted by food. And that's whats reported...But don't worry folks the food industry is the safest it's ever been. That's why professional managers are required to get certified. I may seem that there are more problems with people getting sick, I think not it's not true. There is just more awareness which creates even more safety!!!So go out an eat... do it for me...
