What they would do for a Klondike Bar?

A fantastic unemployment pastime can be as simple as letting one’s imagination go wild.... Whether it’s dreaming about winning the lottery or fantasizing about buying a house, the unemployed can kill tons of time just sitting and thinking about silly scenarios. Often on the days they don’t want to start off with some of those bigger fantasies that will just result in depression when they’re faced with real life, the unemployed can easily switch off to a more easygoing game everybody loves, thinking about what they would do for a Klondike Bar.

Klondike Bars are frozen treats that are so big and thick there’s no room for a stick. Unlike the classic ice cream sandwich favorite, Klondike Bars are made with a crunchy chocolate shell that breaks into pieces the minute the first bite is taken, and the next bite is complicated with chocolate chard's and dripping ice cream. While they might be too messy or too much of a hassle to deal with, having plentiful time to eat one without looking like a total sloppy Joe is a bonus that could possibly make the unemployed interested in wondering how far they would go for a Klondike Bar.

Ideally, the unemployed would accept payment for a Klondike Bar (unemployment does not count), get sent to eat a Klondike Bar with a polar bear, or have to sit through an boring seminar. Some of the obvious things an unemployed person would do for a Klondike Bar include eating, sleeping, sitting, and playing dead. If someone were kind enough to accept such tasks as reason enough for a treat, the unemployed would have it easy.
However, as time goes on and desperation sets in, the unemployed would probably go as far as cleaning up, regularly taking showers, walking a sweater-wearing dog, ... anything for an ice cream sandwich that would otherwise be ignored if the unemployed weren’t so desperate to eat something that doesn’t involve cereal, noodles, or a 5$ pizza. Whatever scenario they can come up with as far as how low or high they’re willing to go, there are two things the unemployed will not do for a Klondike Bar: get dressed to leave the house to pay for one, or find a job.

Why we need Health Care Reform!

....the real issue shouldn't’t be limited to medical insurance reform rather an entire medical-care reform.

The WHO (the world health organization) study:

2.4 trillion spent on health care/ year

32- ranked in the world on how our system performs

72- ranked in the world by our personal health levels

We are 32 in the world and we spent more money than any country in the world.. that does not commute.. obviously more money is not the answer and this is why:

6 billion in advertising= which we are paying for though there profits.

1.4 million dollars a day are spent on lobbyists in D.C.. I voted for these people to listen to me and not those who are robbing America Blind! Did you know there 4 times as many lobbyists as elected officials in Washington?

Did you know roughly 100,000 Americans whose deaths are caused or influenced by infections picked up in hospitals. (THIS IS UNACCETABLE)One hundred thousand deaths: more than double the number of people killed in car crashes, five times the number killed in homicides, 20 times the total number of our armed forces killed in Iraq and Afghanistan!

Anyone who wants to delve into the truly dismal state of health-care economics has a wealth of sources at hand. Read the excellent article now online at the Atlantic Monthly

How American Health Care Killed My Father

Otherwise, consider what looms ahead. The present generation of young children might become the first to live shorter lives than their parents. Health-care costs could cripple American industry by amounting to 50% of overhead by mid-century. Even if those dire possibilities don't faze you, consider one of Pres. Obama's most basic points: compared to other countries, the richest nation in the world is paying more for less when it comes to health care. That alone is reason enough to squash the myth of "more is better" right now, while we have a chance of real reform. This isn't a wam bam kind of situation Washington slow down and do it right!

I AM FOR HEALTH CARE AWARENESS AND REFORM.. BECAUSE CLEARLY IT IS NOT WORKING THE WAY IT IS AND CANNOT CONTINUE THIS WAY INTO THE FUTURE! I'M TIRED OF YOUR SCARE TACTICS AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.. YOU SHOULD BE ASSAMED OF YOURSELVES! SO EVERY PLEASE STAND UP, AND LOOK AT THE FACTS...

And if you think it is fine and dandy the way it is..open your eyes!
Is your body trying to tell you something?

This morning, I woke with a stiff neck… I didn’t even know it until I turned by head to brush my hair and then - ouch! A stiff neck tells me (hmm) I am being inflexible. And I was. I had been planning my day to go a certain way - and it was not lining up to my expectations. Do you ever have days like that? You plan everything to order - and life does not work out the way you planned?

Our bodies do give us messages, but do we take time to listen? . What can we do? I came across these steps below to help…try it some time your body will thank U.

Stop The Stress
Go to a quiet place…. It could be a place in nature or a room at home. Find somewhere you can switch off the busy-ness of the day and simply be with yourself.
Breathe
To slow down further, take in a few deep breaths. Leave the negative behind with your out breaths. Allow yourself to feel the peace within you.
Be Quiet - And Listen
What is your condition telling you about your life and the way you are living? Are you taking care of yourself in the best ways, or do you need to be doing things differently? Be willing to not know and not have the answers. Not knowing seems to open the door to the understanding
Free Yourself

.... forgive the judgments - guilt, resentment, blame, shame, anger. Judgments cast a shadow over the spirit within you that can promote your healing.
Allow Time...
... for healing to take place. In this time, nurture yourself and do what it takes to nourish the spirit in you towards your greater health. Take time to simply rest.
Express Thanks...
... for the lessons learned and the healing that occurs.

Share more of your spirit that one other might find inspiration and encouragement on their journey. Have a party. The spirit in you is characterized by joy. Joy is contagious - a sign of good health.

We are all in the same boat and if we start learning from each other and sharing what we have learned with others, maybe we can get to where we are going faster.

Do you have an inspiring story you have experienced? What did you learn? How was your life bettered through a crisis? You never know when your story might spark courage in someone who could really could be helped by it.

Ask less..and Listen more....

Dear God, Universe, Creator…please grant me a really great job, making $$$ a year, nice Kitchen, flexible hours, 3 weeks vacation, and an impressive benefits package.

Do you recognize this prayer or something similar..?
In the time I have not been working.. I really have plenty of time to think...

Since my New Year’s resolutions, I may have had this prayer, asking the universe, day after day. Has it ever occurred to many of us the universe already knows what it is we most desire? There is no need to ask.

If God already knows our innermost thoughts (wants) then what do we pray for? Hmm, interesting... If you ask me maybe we should pray for what is needed to accomplish what we most desire. Ask quickly and step out of the way. Ask and let God reveal to us what we must do. In prayer or meditation or whatever you may call it, the answers are always revealed. God speaks directly.. What we often find so hard is accepting the word of God. God responds with, “In due time” but we want it today.

Can we live in faith that God only wants what is for our better good? (even though it's not easy...I think that's the difference between human and devine)
The universe is not really concerned with HOW we get there, whether you are president, actor, rich, poor, in an apartment, house, and great relationship today or not. What we choose and how we color it is on us. I have started to meditate (Pray) to line up my dreams with what good the universe has in store for me. Meditate to hear the message and in my waking moments take action in the moment , the opportunities for expressing love and glory…possibly through my desired work, my marriage, friendships....

If I speak in Prayer,I try two things:
1. Express thanks for all the blessings I do have and name them in detail, yes for God to hear, but to be clear that I know just how blessed I am.
2. Ask for courage, and the strength to accept the will of God, to meet the challenges of life, and to give openly and unconditionally.

Patience

Generic Brands

Back in the day when money flowed freely from the blah blah blah jobs
the once employed used to have, the very notion of ever buying a generic brand was repulsive. So much so for them to spend almost 2 times as much for a name brand. The unemployed, however, have taken to exploring what they can get away with in terms of deciding which product would be most doable(not a word) given their lack of moolah.

When they encounter the option of buying a name brand, or say the Target brand, they’re prone to asking themselves, “Do I want to pay half as much to risk it working half as well? Or do I want to believe the myth that several name brand companies actually sell generic brands also.

To begin on the generic brand(lets call it a voyage), the unemployed must be willing to risk feeling uneasy just in case generic doesn’t quite do the job. There are some products where it really doesn’t make too much a difference whether name brand or store brand is bought. Cheez Whiz is just one example - if the unemployed are deciding to buying overly processed “cheese” will it really hurt to buy the generic brand of something that will inevitably cause cancer?

For alcohol, there’s always the temptation to buy the store brand booze even though the unemployed know it’s going to hurt, but then they decide to shell out a few more dollars to avoid buying a bottle simply marked “GIN”. But when they go to Megamart to eat free samples and see the surprisingly expensive Megamart Signature Vodka, and have heard rumors that it’s actually Grey Goose is a stripped down bottle, they’re going to want to buy the generic even though there’s that risk of terrible tasting vodka followed by an nasty hangover. When Megamart Signature costs more than Kettel One, the unemployed are bound to question the quality, but it’s still a risky game to play. One situation where it completely makes sense is when going for a product such as Preparation H. Because it’s hemorrhoids, people, and that’s not something any unemployed person would want to delay healing.
